A small collection of papers of William F. Tufts and his father William Tufts of Charlestown, Mass. The William Tufts papers contain a commonplace-book (1825-37) and loose manuscripts of original poems and hymns, particularly those written for the Winthrop Church and Society (Presbyterian) and the Winthrop Sabbath Schools in Charlestown. Other papers include a sketch of William F.Tufts's service with the 32nd Mass. Vol. Infantry during the Civil War and some Tufts family genealogical information.
